Our build-to-rent fund
Build-to-rent provides an opportunity for investors to gain access to a stable income stream and Australia’s largest Asset class, Residential real estate. Additionally, the NSW Government has announced that land tax for new build-to-rent projects will be halved for the next 20 years, and overseas investors are exempted from the land tax surcharge.
Working with Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) housing providers as part of the Government’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), this means the projects include specialist housing for those with functional impairments or high support needs.
Working with local well-known developers and property management teams, the fund is aiming to provide high quality living options for the next generation.
The Places Build-to-Rent Fund is about giving investors, including super funds, access to the rapidly growing build-to-rent market, while developing high-quality rental properties with affordable living spaces. Highland, our first completed purpose build-to-rent building is likely to serve as a model to the entire Australian build-to-rent sector in terms of community focused design and social responsibility.
